2009 BLACK and LATINO MALES CONFERENCE

9th Annual

~ CHAS Black and Latino Male Conference ~
Our Time is Now: Preparing for Leadership in the New Economy

November 13-15, 2009
hosted by Skidmore College

15 Teams, totaling over 120 students, faculty and administrators from CHAS member schools and non-member schools came together for this conference in an effectually realized discourse on leadership development and opportunities for Black and Latino males in today’s changing economy. The group successfully explored these issues, by delving into such fields as communications, immigration, healthcare, security, communications, environmental ecology and energy. This weekend offered unlimited opportunities for skill-building, networking, social activities, and ultimately the chance for a continued dialogue that the students can continue through  the CHAS BLM Facebook page that has been developed for this reason.

CHAS will be beginning plans for next years' conference and the date and venue will be announced within a few weeks.

Thanks to all the participants for a successful conference.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!!
