News:
September 2009
September was a very busy month for Delta
Chi. Our brothers participated in Trinity College's
annual 'Do It Day' leading a group of students in
cleaning up Goodwin Park. The following week we held our
Fall Rush and had 13 men participate in two separate
nights. Of these 13 men, 9 were give bids and we are
pleased to announce that we currently have a Candidate
class of 8, the largest in recent memory.
August 2009
August 27 and 28 the brothers of Delta
Chi held a retreat at Hammonaset State Park in Madison
Connecticut. We had fun at the beach, tossed some
Frisbee, and took some time to develop our chapter's
goals and plans for the coming year. Several highlights
include a strong recruitment plan and calendar. The
Calendar can be seen by clicking on the RUSH link above.
Also, we developed a strategic plan for the year which
is focused on working towards our mission and vision
statements.
Summer 2009
The first
week of July delegates from the chapter attended the
College of Chapters in
Lexington Virginia, the birthplace of Sigma Nu. It was
an amazing week of SigmaNu history,
visiting headquarters and VMI, as well as a phenomenal
opportunity to meet
brothers from other chapters and share ideas for Chapter
growth and
improvement.
May 2009
The Brothers of Sigma Nu Delta Chi would
like to congratulate brothers Joshua Albin, Peter
Cameron, Alexander Kisling, Thomas Keller, Patrick Kyhos,
and Edward Wrong on their graduation from Trinity
College! We wish you all the best of luck and hope to
see you at future Delta Chi events.
Spring 2009
This spring we partook in the campus’
Relay for Life and as a chapter raised funds for cancer
research. Our brothers are currently active in the Student
Government Association, Trinity College Rugby Club, Academic Research, Cross-Country and
Track, Ski Team, Model UN, Teaching Assistantships,
Hillel and many other activities. Our chapter's GPA
exceeded the college average. Sigma Nu has excelled at
leading on the field, in the community, and in the
classroom.
